Competency: To demonstrate an understanding of commonly used narrative structures, particularly as they relate to media-based storytelling.
II. Constructing a scholarly argument
Competency: To demonstrate an understanding of how to organize and develop an academic argument that is connected to foundational research.
III. Developing a research question, following the research process
Competency: To demonstrate an understanding of the steps used to formulate an effective research question, and the process involved in conducting and documenting research.
IV. Understanding, applying scholarly writing
Competency: To demonstrate an understanding of the principles of scholarly writing, the nature of clear expression and the use of APA style.
